Two people Abdulrahman Saleh, 23, and Hassan Ahmed,20, on Wednesday appeared before a Sharia Court sitting in Kano for allegedly stealing handset worth N12,000.
The defendants , who lives in Yakassai Quarters Kano are charged with theft.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Abdullahi Wada, told the court that the complainant, Adamu Sumaila who reside at Kofar Nasarawa Quarters, reported the matter at Fagge Police Station, Kano.
Wada alleged that on the said date, at 08:45 p.m., the complainant was walking along Ibrahim Taiwo, Isyiaku roundabout when the defendants attacked him, cover his face with a sack and stole away his techno handset worth N12,000.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Malam Ismai’l Muhammad Ahmed, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N10,000 with one sureties each.
Muhammed Ahmed adjourned the matter until April 18, for further mention.
