Dockworkers Celebrated for Their Contributions to Nation Building

Lagos, Nigeria – The Dockworkers Day celebration held on Thursday in Lagos highlighted the significant role of dockworkers in the nation’s economic growth, with remarks from key figures in the maritime industry.

High Chief Orobosa Michael Ubogu, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Micura Services Limited (MSL), and Comrade Francis Bunu, Deputy President General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), both lauded the contributions of dockworkers to nation building.

Ubogu extended his heartfelt congratulations to the labor force at the port, acknowledging their pivotal role in the economic development of the country. His commendation underscored the importance of dockworkers in advancing the maritime industry and supporting national progress.

The event celebrated the dedication and hard work of dockworkers, reaffirming their vital position in the maritime sector and their impact on the nation’s economy.
