Bankable Wisdom Founder, Precious Azuonwu, Wins Western Union Foundation Venture Development Stipend to Scale Impact Across Africa”

Precious Azuonwu, the founder and CEO of Bankable Wisdom, has been awarded the prestigious Western Union Foundation Venture Development Stipend, recognizing his remarkable efforts in empowering African youth through tech education and job creation. The stipend was granted to the top 12 most active participants of the Western Union Fellow 2024 program, and Azuonwu emerged as the 4th top participant overall and the highest-ranking African Fellow.

The Western Union Foundation designated a total of $30,000 to be shared among the 12 standout fellows, all of whom demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in addressing critical social and economic challenges through their ventures.

Bankable Wisdom, established in 2020, is a groundbreaking pan-African online learning platform designed to equip African youth with in-demand skills and connect them to meaningful employment opportunities. With over 75,000 users across 30 African countries, the platform continues to tackle unemployment and promote economic growth through education.

The funds from the stipend will play a pivotal role in advancing the Bankable Wisdom venture,
The stipend will support the creation of an integrated platform that connects graduates of Bankable Wisdom programs with job opportunities in Africa and globally. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing students with access to internships, remote work, and full-time job placements. The venture will introduce new courses tailored to meet the demands of the modern workforce, including advanced topics like artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, cybersecurity, and green technology. These additions will ensure African learners remain competitive in the global job market.
