Oyo Police Enhance Security Measures Ahead of Eid-el-Kabir

In preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, the Oyo State Police Command has intensified security across all 33 local government areas to ensure a peaceful and safe celebration for residents.

Commissioner of Police, CP Johnson Adenola, announced the deployment of personnel to strategic locations, including prayer grounds, public spaces, critical national assets, correctional institutions, media organizations, major highways, and entry and exit points throughout the state. The initiative aims to maintain public order and prevent any untoward incidents during the holiday period.

To facilitate effective security coverage, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical Teams have been instructed to implement a proactive security approach. This includes mobile patrols, strategic searches, surveillance, and targeted interventions. The police have also emphasized the importance of intelligence-led tactics to address potential security challenges.

The Oyo State Police Command urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the Oyo State Call Response Center at 615 or the Police Control Room at 08081768614, 09054133071, or 09061299291. The command reiterates its commitment to protecting the lives and property of all residents during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations
