Schneider Electric has been named the World’s Most Sustainable Company by TIME and Statista for the second consecutive year, reinforcing its standing as a global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation.
The recognition coincides with the release of the company’s Q2 2025 extra-financial results, which show a Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) score of 8.06 out of 10 as it enters the final six months of its 2021–2025 sustainability programme.
The French multinational has also secured a string of recent honours, including Europe’s Most Sustainable Corporation by Corporate Knights, the top spot in the Gartner Top 25 Supply Chain 2025 list, and the “Impact for Sustainability” award in the inaugural TIME100 Companies Impact awards. Other accolades include the “Best ESG Information” award from the Labrador Transparency Awards and the “Corporate Social Excellence” award from Rutgers Institute, recognising 16 years of impact investing.
“Surpassing one million people trained in energy management is a proud moment and a reminder of what’s possible when purpose meets action,” said Esther Finidori, Chief Sustainability Officer at Schneider Electric. “With six months left in our 2021–2025 Schneider Sustainability Impact programme, our priority is clear: accelerate with determination and deliver lasting impact.”
Tangible results in education and climate action
Schneider Electric has exceeded its goal of training one million people in energy management, driven by its Youth Education & Entrepreneurship Programme active in over 60 countries. Initiatives include using digital twin technology to train displaced communities in Bangladesh, engaging students in sustainability projects in India, Kenya, Vietnam, and Thailand, and delivering renewable energy education to incarcerated youth in Brazil.
On the environmental front, the company has helped customers save or avoid 734 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions since 2018 and achieved a 48% reduction in operational CO₂ emissions from its top 1,000 suppliers just two percentage points shy of its year-end target.
With its 2021–2025 programme nearing completion, Schneider Electric says it will focus on accelerating impact across environmental, social, and governance priorities while maintaining its industry-leading position in sustainability.
