WAEC Releases 2024 WASSCE Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates. The results were officially released on Monday, August 12, 2024.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), WAEC informed candidates that they can now access their results. The announcement stated, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat for WASSCE for school candidates, 2024, that the result has officially been released today, Monday, 12th August 2024.”

How to Check WAEC Results

Candidates can check their results through the following methods:

Via SMS:

  1. Using your mobile device, type: WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear
  2. Send the message to 32327
  3. You will receive an instant SMS containing your WAEC statement of result.

Note: This SMS service is available to MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers only. SMS charges will apply.

Via the Website:

  1. Visit www.waecdirect.org and log in.
  2. Enter your Examination Number.
  3. Select the Examination Type (e.g., May/June).
  4. Select the Examination Year (e.g., 2024).
  5. Click on “Check Result.”

Candidates are advised to have their WAEC scratch card available for online result checking. If you experience any issues with receiving your result via SMS, you may need to repeat the process.
