HX Africa Clarifies Stance on Diaspora Mortgage Facility Amid NiDCOM and FMBN Disclaimer

Our attention has been drawn to a “Disclaimer” publication issued by two government agencies: Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), which focuses on Nigerians in diaspora, and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), responsible for mortgages in Nigeria.

The disclaimer relates to a new and innovative product developed by our Proptech (Property Technology) platform. In the interest of nation-building and our commitment to the growth of our country, we have decided not to respond in a manner that could cause division or rancor. Instead, we remain focused on solving national problems and contributing to Nigeria’s progress.

The Diaspora Mortgage Pre-Financing (DMPF) Facility by HX Africa is a financing model created in partnership with Nigerians in Diaspora via Diaspora City in Delta State. This facility aims to help Nigerians, both at home and abroad, finance and build their dream homes.

We have received numerous inquiries regarding NiDCOM’s mention of internal planning discussions. We believe this should be addressed by NiDCOM’s public relations department. HX Africa chooses to view the disclaimer as a measure taken in good faith to protect Nigerians. We remain open to continued discussions with NiDCOM and are actively engaged in dialogue with FMBN.

It is unfortunate that a step in our product development process—gathering data from a sample of the target market using a “product information sheet”—was misconstrued, whether maliciously or mistakenly, as a public promotion. To clarify, HX Africa has never publicized or promoted this product using the names of FMBN or NiDCOM.

We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming support and affirmation from our fellow Nigerians. We assure you of our unwavering commitment to delivering quality and affordable housing solutions. Together, we can get it right for the future of our children.

United we stand. God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
