Abuja Agog to host One Nigeria Cup Grandfinale

The Hon Minister of Federal Ministry of Youth & Sports has just approved partnership and support to the One Nigeria Cup project. The event which flagged off in Abuja on 15th December had the Nigeria Police Force team played Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in a novelty match.

Over the past weeks, the peace tournament project has toured the shores of Plateau, Gombe, Kano and Enugu states with Delta and Lagos on standby.

He has also approved the use of MKO Abiola stadium for the national finals to be played on Saturday 4th February 2023.
The ministry also pledged support with accommodation of the winners from each geopolitical zone to play for peace and unity in Abuja next month before the general elections.

Hon Minister urged all Nigerians and others in diaspora to support the initiative as it is of immense benefit to the nation’s peaceful coexistence using football.

The courtesy meeting was held at conference room of the Hon Minister’s office at Federal Secretariat Abuja on Wednesday 11th January 2023.
