…Urges president-elect to support candidate
A support group of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Voice of Progressive Youths have endorsed Niger East Sanator, Sani Musa for the Senate president of the 10th National Assembly.
The group in a Press Conference in Kano said Senator Sani Musa, as an ally of the APC is the right person for the 10th Senate president considering his number of contributions to the Senate and his immediate constituents.
Addressing the gathering, Zonal Coordinator of the group, Sulaiman Abubakar Mashi said their candidate’s performance in the 9th assembly has qualified him to be a competent candidate that can govern the 10th Senate, calling on the distinguished senators of the country to support him.
“Senator Sani Musa is a successful politician and a businessman, he is well and vastly educated, a great administrator and a skilful human resource manager. As a ranking Senator, Sen Sani Musa performance at the 9th assembly is unquestionable and unquantifiable.
“He chaired committee at the 9th senate and is a member of many other committees, were he performed excellently. He is an active and vibrant senator that contributed at the flow of the senate even sponsoring bills.
“We strongly believe with Senator Sani Musa as Senate President, he will deploy his diplomatic and democratic skills to bring about the much needed synergy and harmony between the Senate and the Executive.”
The group equally urged the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to support Senator Sani Musa on his ambition, calling on him and other APC stakeholders to also support zoning of the Senate president to the North Central region.
“We are appealing and calling on the leadership and stakeholders of our great party the APC to zone the Senate Presidency to North Central and embrace and support Senator Sani Musa CON to become the Senate President in the 10th National Assembly.
“We are specifically appealing and calling on the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to support Senator Sani Musa to become the senate president.”
