The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANs) has stepped down from protest to train students on vocational skills to enable them become self reliance.
The Coordinator of the NANs Zone A, Comrade Ziyau’u Sarki disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the press center on Thursday in Kano.
He said instead of staying at home doing nothing, this will keep our teeming youths busy and wave their mind off engaging in social vices.

According to him,”we have signed an Memorandum of Understanding with Fahmeedah vocational training and business enterprises to give free skills acquisition training to interested students.
“Education is the bedrock for development and this is very unfortunate that the strike is yet to be called off.
“Parents and general public should continue to support our youth and encourage them in a positive way”, he said.
Sarki further explained that our target was to shut down Aminu Kano International Airport and embark on peaceful protest for seven days.
The Coordinator call on the government to address the lingering ASUU strike for continuing education.
