The Kano governorship candidate under the umbrella of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Salihu Tanko Yakasai has tasks electorates to be wise in choice of next set of leaders come 2023 general elections.
Yakasai, made the call shortly after receiving the party’s flag at the official flag up of the party’s campaign rally held at the Sani Abacha youth centre in Kano on Saturday.
He said, while the party has fielded competent candidates at all levels, it is left for the prospective electorates to choose between continued suffering and being salvaged from the current situation the country is facing.
“We are all seeing and feeling what is happening as a result of bad governance. Everybody is suffering. They have deprived us of social amenities, PRP will provide that and is here to rescue us from a that is itching us. We have to be wise enough.
“We are much aware of the hardship that the masses of this country particularly that of Kano are in and we assure you that when elected, we will come with people oriented policies and programmes that will change the status quo.”
Earlier the National Vice Chairman, North West, Abba Sule Namatazu pointed that It is time for a collective effort to salvage the country from what it is now and good people with focus must go into politics and actively participate.
