A team of police personnel have confiscated ballot papers in a Sienna mini bus at the polling unit of Kano state Deputy Governor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.
The Toyota Sienna car which was fully loaded with ballot papers was arrested by police at Magwan Primary School in Nasarawa LGA.
Gawuna was believed to be at the scene when the police seized the ballot papers.
Gawuna’s former residence is located just opposite Magwan Primary school at Yandutse Road, Nasarawa GRA. He had lived in the house for years before he finally relocated to his current residence at Miller Road.
DailyFocus reports that since the deputy governor left the house, it was being used to organize political campaign activities.
On Friday, the eve of election day, our reporter observed several vehicles trooping into the house where an event was apparently held ahead of the Saturday governorship and house of assembly polls.
