Two people have been confirmed dead while one other got injured after a building used as dwelling house collapsed in Kofar Mata, Zango, area of Kano metropolis.
The building collapsed, which is confirmed to newsmen by the state Fire Service, trapped three people where two died and the other got injured.
Spokesman of the Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi stated in a statement that their men arrived at the scene and rescued the victims unconscious, but later the the were confirmed dead by doctors in hospital.

“The state fire service control room received an emergency call at about 22:50 hrs from Jamilu Salisu Zango he reported a building collapse at Kofar Mata Hauren Gadagi. When our men reached the area at about 22:54 hrs, they found that, a building of one floors of about 50 X 40 ft, used as a dwelling house collapsed from the upper floor.
“Three people where reported trapped by names Fatima Nura of about 17 years old, she was rescued alive. While Aminu Nura of about 15 years old, Sadiq Nura of about 11 years old, where rescued unconscious.
“All victims conveyed to Murtala Muhammad Special Hospital for medical attention and later Doctors confirmed the death of Aminu Nura and Sadiq Nura,” he said.
He added tha the the corpse were handed over to Inspector Surajo Isma’ila of Kofar Wanbai Police Station, while the rescued victim is recieving treatment at hospital.
