A group of Christian faithful, under Ima’s Yums and Treats, has shared meals to no fewer than 200 patients in the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in order to mark the last Easter day.

The group said they planned to celebrate the great season with Muslims patients in order to show love, mercy and togetherness among various religions in the country, adding that they choose this festive season as Muslims have finished their one month fasting period.

Speaking on the gesture, the team led Emmanuel C. Okeke said a group of philanthropists decided to come together for the gesture to appreciate the peaceful coexistence among people of the state.

“On the 9th day of April, 2023 was Easter Sunday and was celebrated in different ways. Easter is a season that depicts the highest form of love and sacrifice ever known. God Almighty showed His love by offering His only son on the cross for our sake and rose Him back to life on the 3rd day.

“In a bid to show some love in accordance with the season, IMA’s YUMS & TREATS decided to reach out to Poor, elderly, sick and less privileged ones at Murtala Specialist Hospital, Kano. This outreach exercise was greatly supported by, Chief Dennis Obi (De Chimex General Ent.), Chief Azuka Morah (AZUBROS), Chief Ifeanyi Ogbete (Ifeanyi Emenco Pharmaceuticals), Mr Sebastine (SIRBACO Pharmacy), Mr Williams Nnodi (Miraculous Global) and Mr Ebube (Ebube Orange),” he said.

On their part, the recipients of the gesture appreciated the group and pray for lasting peace among citizens of the country.
