A Federal High Court sitting in Kano, on Friday, fixed Oct.20, for hearing in a pre-election suit filed by Alhaji Muhammad Sani-Abacha, challenging Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Sadik Aminu Wali and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Sani-Abacha in an originating summon, is praying the court to declare him winner of the primary election conducted by Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Kano on May 25, 2022 having satisfied with the requirements of the Electoral Act 2022 (as amended) and scored the highest number of the total votes cast in the election.

The respondents in the suit are: INEC, Sadik Aminu-Wali and Peoples Democratic party (PDP).
When the case came up for hearing, Counsel to the Plaintiff, Reuben Atabor SAN, told the court that he filed some processes on behalf of his client to regularize his position.
Counsel to the respondents, Barr. Suleiman Alkali, prayed the court for an adjournment to enable them respond to the application file by the plaintiff seeking to regularize his processes.
Justice A.M Liman, adjourned the matter until Oct.20, for hearing of the substantive suit.
