Stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano, Alhaji Abdulmajid Danbilki Kwamanda, has raised alarm to the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his recent political Romance with Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, saying they will not accept him in their party.

Speaking to journalists in Kano, Alhaji Danbilki Kwamanda, who is a close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, vehemently opposed the idea of Tinubu appointing Kwankwaso to any position within his new government and the APC, even as low as a messenger.

Recalled that the president-elect met with the two term governor of Kano state in Paris, and that during the meeting Tinubu agreed to offer some positions to Kwankwaso.

However, reacting to this, Danbilki advised Tinubu to exercise caution and be wary of any political alliance with Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), saying such a move would be politically dangerous for the APC.

The APC stalwart noted that if Tinubu disregarded their outcry and proceeded with the appointment of Kwankwaso, they would disrupt the entire APC in the North and withdraw their support from him.

Danbilki Kwamanda stressed that the supporters of President-elect Tinubu in the North would not take it lightly on any perceived political collaboration between Tinubu and Kwankwaso.

“Where was Kwankwaso when we delivered the north for Tinubu? This is not acceptable and the president should note this. Politics in the north is entirely different from politics in the south. We can handle the party and the people without Kwankwaso,” he said.

He asserted that such an alliance would be viewed as a betrayal of trust and commitment by Tinubu’s followers in the region, leading to a loss of confidence and support for him.

“Our people believe in us, and if Tinubu refused to listen to us we will tell our people to withdraw their support for him. This is a betrayal to northerners and at a payback time,” Danbilki added.

According to him, if Tinubu is afraid of losing Kano, there are strong allies and grass root politicians that can hold it for him and serve people better than Kwankwaso.

“We have Senator Barau I. Jibrin and A.A Zaura, they are serving people better and can lead the party to a success land,” he assured.
