A renowned retired military officer, Brigadier General Halliru Akilu has congratulated Dr Mansur Mukhtar for his emergence as the new Sarkin Bai of Kano and a King Maker (Council Member), by his Royal Highness, the Emir Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
The retired general in a letter addressed to the Sarkin Bai described the appointment as a well-deserved choice, calling on him to use the position in contributing to the social and economic development of Kano state and the country in general.

He said “May I please write and congratulate you most heartily for being conferred with the traditional tittle of Sarkin Bai of Kano, (King Maker) and Council Member by his Royal Highness, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, OFR.
“It is a well-deserved choice to honor you with such a tittle in recognition of your immense contributions to the social and economic development of your local environment in particular, Kano state and the nation in general,” he said in the letter.
He prayed for Allah to give him the strength to render good and honest services to the people of Kano and the nation in general in his new traditional assignment.
