The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board (KSPWB) has called on intending pilgrims to pay or balance up their hajj fare on or before April 21.
The Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Mohammad Abba-Danbatta, made the call in an interview with newsmen on preparations for the 2023 hajj on Saturday in Kano.
He said that collection of hajj fare would soon close, as hajj operations is getting closer.

Abba-Danbatta said that intending pilgrims would pay N2.9 million, attributing the increase in the fare to rising in dollar exchange and increased tax revenue from Saudi Arabia and airlines.
He said that screening of intending pilgrims has be scheduled to commence after April 21, when the fare closes.
