The Nigerian Army raided a mosque located at Filin Lazio, Hotoro, Kano metropolis and arrested about 10 suspected Boko Haram on Saturday evening.
Eyewitnesses informed said that the operation that lasted less than one hour took place while Muslims were breaking their fast.
The situation led to pandemonium as many of the residents were scared as the Soldiers searched some houses also.
It was gathered that immediately after the operation, the mosque and the area were deserted by the residents as some of them made up their mind not to pass the night in the vicinity noting that the Soldiers may likely come back.
Daily Focus gathered that the mosque belongs to some people who fled the northeast due to insurgency.
When contacted, Army spokesperson in Kano Captain Irabor promised to get back to the reporter as he has not been briefed on the development.
