Niger Tornadoes FC emerge as champions of the maiden edition of Gusau/Ahlan NPFL pre-season football tournament held at Sani Abacha stadium Kofar mata in Kano state.
Seven teams gearing up for the 2022/2023 NPFL season participated in the weeklong competition: Niger Tornadoes FC, Gombe united FC, Doma united FC, Mailantarki FC of Abuja, Junior Kano Pillars FC, Kano Selected and Kano SKY Wreca FC.

Mailantarki FC of Abuja defeated Doma United FC to clinch Bronze.
Waheed Adebayo’s 37th minute goal was enough to earn Tornadoes victory in a tense final against Gombe united.
NFF president Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Kano state FA chairman Dr. Rabi’u Inuwa Sharrif Ahlan and Jigawa state FA chairman Alhaji Sabo Eka are among the dignitaries that attended Saturday’s closing ceremony.
