The independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Dr. Babangida Hussaini as the winner of the Just concluded 2023 general elections, in Jigawa North-West Senatorial District.
The returning officer of the commission Professor Ahmad Baita Garko, announced this at the collation center in Gumel Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
Dr. Babangida Hussaini polled 187,049 to defeat his rival Alhaji Ibrahim Saminu Turaki of the People Democratic Party PDP who polled 134,199, while the ADC Candidate polled 2, 644 votes.
