Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has achieved a major academic breakthrough as the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted full accreditation to 18 of its undergraduate programmes across various faculties.

The development was confirmed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Edward Olanipekun, who described the achievement as a testament to the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, infrastructure development, and quality assurance.

According to the official NUC report delivered to the university management, the fully accredited programmes span disciplines including science, social sciences, education, and the arts, following a rigorous assessment exercise conducted earlier in the year.

“This is a moment of pride for the entire EKSU community,” Professor Olanipekun stated. “It confirms that our programmes meet the highest academic and professional standards required by the NUC. We are committed to continuous improvement and ensuring that our graduates remain globally competitive.”

The Vice Chancellor added that the university invested significantly in upgrading teaching facilities, expanding research capabilities, and improving staff qualifications in preparation for the NUC accreditation visit.
