First Secondary School for Emokhueme Community Nears Completion: A Milestone Project by AAO Foundation

The Alex Alegieuno Omiogbemi Foundation (AAOF) is making history with the development of Omiogbemi Secondary School, the first-ever secondary school in Emokhueme Community. With an investment of over NGN 300 million, this ambitious project is being executed in four phases and aims to provide children in the rural community with access to quality education, addressing a long-standing gap in the region.

Phase One Nears Completion

The first phase of the project, currently underway, includes the construction of 10 classrooms, administrative offices, a library, and a science laboratory. These facilities will lay the foundation for a modern and conducive learning environment, offering students the tools they need to excel academically and practically.

The project’s phased approach ensures strategic and efficient development, with each stage building upon the previous one to realize the ultimate vision of a world-class secondary school.

Transforming a Community through Education

For years, children in Emokhueme Community have had no access to secondary education within their locality, forcing many to either travel long distances or abandon their education altogether. The Omiogbemi Secondary School is not just a school—it is a beacon of hope, signaling the possibility of a brighter future for the community.

“This project is more than just a building. It represents opportunity, empowerment, and the chance for every child to dream bigger and achieve more,” said Senior High Chief Alex Alegieuno Omiogbemi, founder of AAOF. “Education is the most powerful tool for transformation, and through this school, we are planting seeds of change for generations to come.”

A Visionary Project in Four Phases

The comprehensive plan for Omiogbemi Secondary School includes:

Phase 1: Construction of 10 classrooms, offices, a library, and a laboratory.

Phase 2: Expansion with additional classrooms, modern laboratories, and specialized technical workshops.

Phase 3: Development of boarding facilities, teachers’ quarters, and an ICT center for digital learning and JAMB preparation.

Phase 4: Completion of sports facilities, including a swimming pool, basketball court, and lawn tennis court, to promote all-around development.

The ultimate goal is to establish a fully equipped institution that will not only serve as a center of academic excellence but also foster entrepreneurship, STEM education, and character building.

A NGN 300 Million Investment for the Future

The school is projected to cost over NGN 300 million, with AAOF leading the charge to mobilize resources for its realization. The foundation has called on local and international partners, donors, and organizations to join hands in supporting this transformative project, which will benefit thousands of children and their families in the long term.

A Legacy of Empowerment

Omiogbemi Secondary School is more than a milestone for Emokhueme Community; it is a legacy project that exemplifies the power of grassroots development. By focusing on education, the Alex Alegieuno Omiogbemi Foundation is not just addressing immediate needs but laying the groundwork for sustained economic and social growth.

As the school nears the completion of its first phase, it stands as a testament to what visionary leadership and community-focused action can achieve. With this initiative, Senior High Chief Alex Alegieuno Omiogbemi and AAOF continue to inspire hope and deliver meaningful change to those who need it most.
